Use the XDP 7.3L Injector Sleeve XD412 to replace the failed injector sleeves in your 1994-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. As your 7.3L Powerstroke engine ages in time and mileage, you may begin to encounter Injector Sleeve failure.
Also known as an Injector Cup, the primary function of the Injector Sleeve is to seal and protect the area of the injector bore within the cylinder head. When an Injector Sleeve fails it usually splits or cracks which allows fuel to enter into your cooling system.
If your coolant is starting to overflow, or you begin to smell fuel in your coolant, a failed injector sleeve is a likely reason why this condition has occurred.
Injector Sleeves are not a costly component and it is highly recommended that you replace them when you install new fuel injectors or during an engine rebuild.
